A Message from WCCC CEO and Executive Director, Ziming Wu |

Dear Members and Friends of the Wisconsin Chinese Chamber of Commerce, As we look back on the month of July, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the remarkable strides our chamber has made. Our achievements this month reflect our unwavering commitment to fostering business growth, celebrating our rich cultural heritage, and strengthening our community bonds. We began the month by celebrating Independence Day on July 4th, a day that reminds us of the values of freedom and unity that our nation stands for. This occasion served as a poignant reminder of the importance of community and collaboration, values that are at the heart of our chamber’s mission. Our monthly event on July 13th was a testament to our continued success. With four business booths showcasing diverse offerings, the event was a vibrant hub of networking and collaboration. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Freight 38 for hosting this event and to Fusion Coffee for their excellent catering, which added a special touch to the event. Our ‘Hopportunity Networking’ cohost event at Vennture Brew Co on July 23rd was another highlight, bringing together professionals from diverse industries to connect, share insights, and explore new opportunities. The energy and enthusiasm at the event underscored the vital role such gatherings play in our professional lives. In addition to our networking endeavors, we have been diligently planning for the Asian Moon Festival and Business Excellence Celebration. This event promises to be a spectacular celebration of our cultural traditions and a recognition of the outstanding contributions of businesses within our community. I am thrilled to announce that JP Morgan Chase has just approved $5,000 to support our event! Additionally, the Wisconsin Black Chamber of Commerce reached out to purchase a business booth and 10 tickets. U.S. Bank, Associated Bank, and Tri City Bank are also set to support our event by setting up business booths. I also want to extend my sincere thanks to our members who have committed to having business booths to support the Asian Moon Festival and Business Excellence Celebration: Marathon Ginseng, Happy Feet Palace, Team Klumb, Mike Sager from Shorewest, and Prominent CPAs & Associates, LLC. We are also grateful for the strong support from the Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce for both the Asian Moon Festival and the Milwaukee Dragon Boat Festival. The WCCC Golden Dragons’ participation in the Milwaukee Dragon Boat Festival was another highlight of the month. This initiative not only promoted cultural awareness but also brought our community closer together through shared activities and celebrations. I am also excited to share that seven new businesses and one individual have joined WCCC this month, including SBA Wisconsin, which is reaching out to renew and upgrade their membership, further strengthening our partnership. Their membership strengthens our community and brings new opportunities for collaboration and growth. WCCC’s focus remains on maturing startup and accelerator programs to provide capacity to help and support our member businesses at each step of the way. We are dedicated to ensuring that our members receive the guidance and resources they need to thrive. For that, we have been targeting the incoming Greater Milwaukee Foundation grant and the EPG grant. In order to serve business members locally, we are also working with our Madison team to establish WCCC Madison, following the success of WCCC Northeast Wisconsin. Additionally, WCCC continues to help and support WEDC marketplace event planning to increase our exposure at the state level. This involvement is crucial in ensuring that our members benefit from wider recognition and opportunities. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our members, partners, and volunteers for their unwavering support and dedication. Your efforts are the driving force behind our successes. As we move forward, I am confident that our collective efforts will continue to yield extraordinary results. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Together, we are building a brighter, more prosperous future for all. Warm regards, WCCC CEO and Executive Director, Ziming Wu |
